Mrs. Loontjer is a graduate of University
of Texas. Currently, she is a Language Arts TAG teacher in Canyon Vista Middle School. This
is her the 7th year at Canyon Vista.
Through past experiences with kids, students in Canyon Vista
have all loved her, and enjoyed having her as their teacher.
The students speak highly of her teaching skills as well.
Besides teaching, she like animals and reading, cooking and
running. She is also a big Spurs fan!

Ms. Peters is teaching 3rd grade at
Laurel Mountain Elementary for three years. She received her
B.A in 2004. This year, she completed two masters degrees in
school psychology and Curriculum and Instruction
combined with Educational Administration. She was honored to
win the HEB Elementary Rising Star Award for Teacher
Excellence. This awards program is the largest monetary
recognition program for educators in Texas and one of the

She love learning, and believe it is important to
motivate each student to reach his or her potential. Reading
and Writing are two of her favorite topics to teach.

Texas with a BS in Radio-Television-File. he has been
training and teaching for test preparation for more than 5
years. he has extensive experiences on teaching SAT tests.
He also has working to train test prep teachers and create
curriculums for test prep courses.
John is working for ACES as a substitute teacher.

Yuki has over 8 years of experience teaching writing and language arts to high school, jr. high school and elementary school students. Knowledgeable of scoring requirements and development of essays for college entrance examinations and successful reading comprehension and vocabulary development strategies. In addition to teaching, Yuki works as the supervisor for Research and Planning at the
City of Austin, Austin Police Department. She holds a master's degree in Public Policy from the LBJ School of Public Affairs. Yuki's hobbies include running, editing of children's books, and she enjoys spending most of her free time with her husband Jose and 2 year old son Ichiro.

Jessica graduated from the University of
Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Kinesiology. She completed
her M.A. in Science Education from the University of
Houston, Texas. Jessica Ross is a 4th year science teacher
and teaches high school in the greater Austin Ares. She has
tutored students individually and in classes for the SAT and
the ACT, using her experience from employment with
Huntington Learning Centers. She has had success with first
time test takers, students who want to improve their
previous scores and students who were successuful, but want
to get those final few points. She is a firm believer in
knowing your test and its vocabulary will help bring about
success on testing day.

Chris is a graduate of university of
Texas at Austin with dual Econ/Gov Degrees. Chris is experienced in debate as a
competitor, coach, and curriculum designer. He has over 11
years of experience in competitive forensics.
As
a coach, He currently employed at UT Austin Debate team. He
coached teams to elimination rounds of national debate
tournaments. He has five years experience working in summer
speech and debate camps at the University of Texas National
Institute of Forensics to help students improve at public
speaking and argumentation.
As
a competitor, Chris was a successful college and high school
debater ( Elimination Rounds at National Tournaments over 20
times, 2003-2008) and excellent public speaker ( twice a
"Top 20" speaker in the Nation for college
Debate).
